Many of you have hung out with me in this little corner of virtual space for many years now; but with the upcoming launch of Thimble & Seed, it felt timely to reintroduce myself.

My name is Lauren and I am the Queer Herbalist and Botan

Pulling roots, trimming growth, harvesting seeds…all within the flow of the season.

The garden is shifting from the chaotic abundance of spring and summer to the subtle generosity of autumn.

I really should be out in the garden, tending the seedlings and pruning back the remains of summer abundance…but this morning, the tulsi and the roses were just so enchanting.

I decided to blend their flavors into a delightfully light and flu

Just as the chamomile blooms more prolifically with each flower gifted to our teacup; may we all seek to find greater fulfillment and joy through our own gift of time and energy to others.

I am currently participating in a 1,000 words a day writing challenge.
Even though I have been a writer my entire life (and once in my youth fancied myself quite the gifted poet); I have never had much rhyme or rhythm to the practice of writing.

I never really felt it within the confines of a studio’s four walls.
