Have you always wanted to try a Yoga class; but weren’t sure where to begin? Or felt like you weren’t “flexible” or “strong enough”?

Have you just started your Yoga practice but are confused by words like Vinyasa, Pranayama, and Asana?

Are you looking for a chance to explore the fundamentals in a bit more depth?

This three hour workshop is designed to create the foundation you will need to bring Yoga more fully into your life. We will explore some of the foundational poses used in many local yoga classes, break down breath work, explore the history and philosophy beyond the physical practice itself, and cover a list of resources that can help take your exploration even further.

Lauren Snyder has been practicing Yoga since she was a teenager, but had a long and winding journey to finally feel at home in her practice. Due to chronic health problems; the ability to “keep up” in traditional classes and studios often led to anxiety, injury and fatigue and kept her locked into feeling like a beginner every single time she stepped on the mat. It took a supportive and inclusive community and a Yoga Teacher Training program before she finally found a way to fully embody her yoga practice and understand the deeper work in unifying breath, movement, mindfulness and awareness. Lauren’s passion is in helping others find their own place in the yoga community as well as creating classes and programs that welcome all individuals to practice in a way that honors their own unique mind, body and spirit.
